Guillot Barbeau
A key player in the downfall of queen Elaria, Guillot is finding it difficult to get the rest of the Paddingknoll to listen to him.
Biography
Most individuals' first impression of Guillot Barbeau is of a scowling, dark-eyed dragon, which leaves them feeling notably unsettled, and a little uncomfortable in his presence. Time spent with him doesn't often improve this impression, and with many of the Paddingknoll being younger than Guillot, they see him as a relic of queen Elaria's time, an impression he is aware of, and resents. However, it is his difficulty expressing his ideas as clearly as others, and a temper that seems always ready to be unleashed, that leads him to shouting matches with others, particularly Simonnet. With his attitude towards progress being that the end justifies the means, he seems to be permanently on an uphill battle to win over the other, more moderate, members of the Paddingknoll.
Relationships
Guillot is shyly pleased with his arrangement with Mogge Auclair, but remains unaware that his companion has wandering eyes. Regardless, when they're together, he finds himself tongue-tied, something that gently amuses Mogge.
In Guillot's opinion, Simonnet Beaulieu would serve him better if Simonnet was dead, but as long as the rest of the Paddingknoll finds Simonnet amusing instead of a genuine threat, it's unlikely that that will ever be the case.
Appearance
Complexion:
He has dark grey skin and dark purple accents.
Facial features:
His nose is flat and noticeably broken in several places. His mouth is almost permanently twisted in a scowl. His dark red eyes seem to get brighter when he argues, and he is physically intimidating when he gets into a mood.
Hair:
He looks to be roughly 40 years old, and his cropped, dark flinty hair is peppered with grey. He has a neatly trimmed, close cropped beard.
Body:
At 6'2", Guillot is a tall, broad dragon, and he has a large stomach and thick thighs, with muscled arms. With a weighty, spiked tail, many dragons are not ashamed to admit that when he gets enraged they avoid him, and they avoid arguing with him at all, Simonnet of course, being the notable exception.
Despite having near no use for it anymore, and his cushy job as the head of Wraithveil's army ensuring that he would be less suited to combat than one of his army divisions, he still wears armor regularly, and can be heard clanking around the halls of the citadel.
Trivia
Hobbies:
He seems to enjoy playing with his model dragon soldiers a little more than he's willing to admit to anyone, though Mogge has caught him moving them unnecessarily several times.
Familiar:
Shaleback.
Voice:
Michael Shannon as Walter 'Walt' Thrombey in Knives Out
Other:
A very distinctive feature of his is that he finds it difficult to express his ideas at all. Mogge would call him 'emotionally constipated'.
